If anyone has a wheelbarrow, HBO is going to need it . . . so that they can haul all the future awards that “Big Little Lies” wins.
Scratch that. Does anyone have a spare MOVING TRUCK? Or a SEMI?
The show scored a MAJOR haul at last year’s Emmys, and at the Golden Globes earlier this month. And now, they’re adding MERYL STREEP to the cast for Season Two . . . seriously.
She’s playing Mary Louise Wright . . . the mother-in-law of Nicole Kidman’s character Celeste Wright, and mother of Alexander Skarsgard’s character Perry Wright.
Obviously, it’s rare for Meryl to do TV since she’s so busy starring in Academy Award-winning movies. But she’s done it before. She was in the 2003 miniseries “Angels in America”. And she also did a three-episode stint on Showtime’s “Web Therapy” in 2010.
Sources say she’ll make around $800,000 per episode. There will be seven episodes in Season Two, but they won’t premiere until NEXT year.
